Saint Leo University's online Bachelor of Arts in Psychology helps you delve deep into the inner workings of the human mind and offers a comprehensive understanding of diverse perspectives. Aligned with the American Psychological Association model, the curriculum provides valuable insights into the intricacies of human behavior, interplay of emotions, and the biological, cognitive, emotional, and social factors that shape the human experience.

By exploring research methodologies and scientific theories, you will be able to analyze complex problems, decode the secrets of the human psyche, and support individuals on their path to well-being. This program focuses on psychology fundamentals such as personality theory, abnormal psychology, child and adolescent development, race and ethnicity, and helps you develop a holistic understanding of the diverse nature of the discipline. Though this degree does not prepare you for clinical practice, it equips you with the skills to design and evaluate research projects to explore psychology deeper and an understanding of human behavior that you can apply to a range of industries.

Students must successfully complete 120 credits to graduate from this program. The credit requirements are distributed in 3 types of study areas:

• University Exploration Subjects (42 credits)
• Disciplinary Subjects (24 credits) [General psychology and general concentration subjects]
• General Electives - Complete enough general elective credit hours to meet the total hours required to earn the degree.

*Students who have already completed subjects at the undergraduate level may be eligible to receive up to 90 credits in recognition of their previous studies.
