The most important difference between learning on-campus and online is that online subjects do not have a set schedule or time in which the student must be at their computer. This provides students with the flexibility to manage personal and work obligations.

As one of the first universities in the United States to offer online degree programs, Saint Leo University is a pioneer in providing cutting-edge online university experiences.

With Saint Leo, students have access to high-quality instruction in a convenient learning environment. Online learning allows students to pursue their studies while balancing career and family obligations.

By offering online degrees to students who reside in India, Saint Leo is able to provide students outside of the U.S. with the opportunity to obtain a U.S. accredited degree, without the need to move or process a student visa.

Online subjects do not require face-to-face attendance at any time. That is one of the reasons why many students choose to study online.

Each student completes the tasks and assignments each week based on their own schedule, and delivers assignments according to the deadlines set by the faculty member, usually on Thursdays and Sundays in the evening. However, to provide additional support and opportunities to connect with faculty and peers, online students can participate in weekly live, informal, “Office Hours” sessions.

The subjects at Saint Leo were designed by instructional specialists, who developed the content and structure of the degree programs to prepare students to be successful, competent members of the global workplace.

Although there are different learning activities in each subject, they are usually organized on a weekly basis and are accompanied by discussion forums.

Class activities may include reading academic content, exercises and specific assignments, which are generally aimed at shaping final projects towards the end of the subject.

These final projects are often aligned to professional concepts, to help students develop additional advanced knowledge for their career.

Each online subject also includes weekly live sessions, called “Office Hours,” which allow students additional opportunities to connect with faculty and peers. Most sessions are informal, but can include guest speakers, Q&A sessions, etc.
